At the Bodycote facility in Liberec, a company specializing in high-precision processing of metal components for the automotive, aerospace, and engineering industries, an intelligent heat recovery system has been implemented. The system recovers waste heat from the cooling circuit of vacuum hardening furnaces and uses it efficiently for warm air heating of production halls, heating of office spaces, and year-round domestic hot water preparation. It also contributes to reducing the plant’s energy dependence and overall operating costs.

The installation features Master Therm heat pumps with a total cooling capacity of 177 kW and a heating capacity of 219 kW. Thanks to the system’s high efficiency (COP W25W50 = 5.2), the investment payback is estimated at just three years.
